Third season of StartKoro ended, Selected 5 best innovations

The third year of the StartKoro competition was held to institutionalize innovative business ideas on emerging technologies and sustainable development. In this event, the top 5 innovations were Insurance Cow, Urban Gaz Limited, Hospitalin, KrishiClinic and MulloKoto. The judges announced the names of the best innovators on the concluding day of the two-day competition at a hotel in the capital on Sunday. Velocity Asia Managing Director Shawkat Hossain, FNF Country Representative Dr. Najmul Hossain, Program Manager Omar Mostafiz, e-CAB Director Nasima Aktar Nisha, Startup Dhaka Founder Mustafizur Rahman Khan, SR Ventures Founder Sayma Rahman served as judges at Demo-day. Siddhartho Goshwami, Senior Consultant of iDEA Project of ICT Division, Rakhsanda Rukham, Chairperson of Entrepreneur Lab, Adnan Dewan, Investment Manager of Start Up Bangladesh and Syed Naimul Hossain , Founder of TeachIt Platform were present as mentors in the two-day sessions to encourage young entrepreneurs. Before this, training has been imparted through 3 virtual sessions and in person bootcamp. Young entrepreneurs are introduced to technologists, business development consultants and investors. Startup Bangladesh and EMK Center were the partners of this year's StartKoro event organized by technology company Preneur Lab and Friedrich Naumann Foundation Bangladesh. Arif Nizami, CEO of Entrepreneur Lab, said about the event, "We want to give innovators an opportunity to learn from local and international mentors through the StartKoro event." He said that many new entrepreneurs have come forward through StartKoro who will lead the country in the technology-based economy in the coming days. 30 teams out of 70 teams got chance to take part in the boot camp of this year's 'StartKoro'. From there, finally 12 teams took part in demo day. Top Participating Start-ups are: Creatino, FarmNet Asia, Hospitalin, Inflexion Point Technologies, KrishiClinic, KriShop, MulloKoto, Peora, School360, Shikkhon, Todlo, and Urban Gaz. The top five entrepreneurs of this year's competition are getting business registration or trademark registration or legal assistance. Also, top participants will be prepared for international competition through bootcamp and top three winners will get one year access to 'Office.AI' from Preneur Lab.
